Synthetic turf field
Our Story

A History of Firsts

Revolution Turf has been at the forefront of synthetic turf since 1976, engineering the surfaces the sport is played on today, and building the field of tomorrow with Pivot.

Since 1976

We Raised Synthetic Turf Up From Carpet

Revolution Turf's founder, Seymour Tomarin, helped transform synthetic turf from a carpet product into a high-performance athletic surface, developing the technology, patents, and safety standards that carried the sport forward.

With over 40 years of experience across every aspect of the industry, Tomarin's work led surfacing innovation from 2nd-generation infilled turf all the way to today's 5th-generation non-infill systems. His operations have touched fiber manufacturing and installation at names including Polyloom (now TenCate USA), Playfield, All Pro Turf, Laykold, Ozite, Instant Turf, and Sportec.

In 1976 he founded Omnisport International, developing and marketing infill synthetic surfacing systems worldwide under the Omniturf, Omnicourt, and Omnigreen brands.
